This real-life Thor hammer can only be lifted by its creator
A YouTuber
who goes by the name of Sufficiently Advanced is "worthy," if his latest video is anything to go by. He has made
a replica Mjolnir that only responds to his touch - much to the surprise of the
baffled onlookers in Venice Beach, California.
The "working" hammer has a fingerprint scanner in the
handle that deactivates an electromagnet in the head of the weapon.
The electromagnet - taken from a microwave oven
- is connected to four batteries and activates when the hammer's handle is
grasped. Sufficiently Advanced cased this technology inside an authentic-looking Mjolnir
design.
Are you worthy enough?
Sufficiently Advanced has
dedicated his recently-launched channel "to making pretend things into
real things." The hammer video follows a video explaining how to make a Rasengan - a blue
ball of light that forms in the hand from the Naruto anime comic.
