This May Well Be The Most Polite Google Search That Will Make You Smile!
Most of us take the
Internet for granted -- we have so much information at our fingertips, and
never consider why or how it arrives on our screens. One woman, however,
certainly appreciates Google's hard work. May Ashworth, an 86-year-old resident
of England, has been conducting the most polite Google searches of all time.
When visiting his
grandmother at her home, Ashworth's grandson Ben noticed her computer was open
to her latest Google search. It read: "please translate these roman
numerals... thank you." He thought it was adorable, so he tweeted out the
image to his friends. The tweet went viral, and now has more than 30,000
retweets and 40,000 favorites.
The pair spoke to CBC News about the incredible response. When explaining her
search, Ashworth simply said: "I thought, well somebody's put it in, so
you're thanking them."
Her kind request
caught the attention of Google UK and Google's Twitter feeds as well.
